Lake City Udaipur Tops the List for Film Shoots, Beats Jaipur and Jodhpur

Udaipur : The Lake City, renowned for pre-wedding shoots, has now emerged as the top destination for film shoots. Online travel portal Outlook has named Udaipur as the best destination for film shooting in Rajasthan. Jodhpur, Jaipur, Jaisalmer, and Bikaner from the state have also been included in this list.

From the lakes of Udaipur to the dunes of Jaisalmer, everything has been deemed ideal for shooting. The portal wrote that Rajasthan is famous across the country for its history and heritage. The royal forts, palaces, and colorful landscapes here have attracted filmmakers as ideal locations. From Hollywood to Bollywood blockbusters, many films have showcased the beautiful locations of Rajasthan, further enhancing their appeal.

Film Shoots in the Lake City: In 1983, the James Bond film Octopussy was shot at Lake Palace. In the 2013 film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone shot at the Oberoi Udaivilas hotel, where several romantic scenes were filmed. Additionally, many film and ad scenes have been shot at places like Monsoon Palace, Saheliyon ki Bari, Jag Mandir, and City Palace.

Tourism Season Begins, Diwali to See a Boom: The tourism season began on September 27. This month, on October 30 and 31, Diwali, the biggest festival of this season, will be celebrated. Tourism is expected to boom during this period. Tourists have started booking for travel plans during the festival. This year’s season will see big events like the Shilpgram Mahotsav and New Year at the end of December. It’s worth noting that 13.01 lakh tourists have visited Udaipur in the first nine months of this year. In September alone, 1.61 lakh tourists arrived, including 1.54 lakh domestic and 7,297 foreign tourists.
