US Senator Lindsey Graham recently revealed that US President Donald Trump is planning to introduce steep tariffs on countries that continue to purchase Russian oil , naming India, China, and Brazil as primary targets.
In an interview with Fox News, Graham said Trump intends to slap a 100% tariff on oil-related imports from these nations in an attempt to cut off revenue flowing to the Kremlin.
“Trump is gonna impose tariffs on people who buy Russian oil, China, India and Brazil. Those three countries buy about 80% of cheap Russian oil. That's what keeps Putin's war machine going. So president trump is going to put a 100% tariff on all those countries punishing them for helping Putin.”
“China, India and Brazil, they are about to face a choice between the American economy or helping Putin and I think they are gonna pick the American economy,” he added.
