In what could be a major breakthrough, US President Donald Trump said Monday (local time) he will organize face-to-face talks between the Russian and Ukrainian presidents in an effort to end the war in Ukraine.
"At the conclusion of the meetings, I called President Putin," Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform, referring to his White House meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and seven other European leaders.
"After that meeting (Putin-Zelenskyy) takes place, we will have a Trilat, which would be the two Presidents, plus myself," he added.
