Court orders police cover

Kochi: The HC bench of Justice N Nagaresh has ordered adequate police protection for the election to the managing committee of the Police Co-operative Society Ltd, Thiruvananthapuram, scheduled for Oct 19. The bench was considering a petition filed by the society's president G R Ajith. He expressed concerns about possible bogus voting and large gatherings near the polling station (Panchayat Association Hall, Vellayambalam) to intimidate voters. tnn
