NEW DELHI: India were dealt a major injury scare on Day 3 of the fourth Test in Manchester, as pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah appeared to hurt his left ankle in a concerning moment caught on camera.
A video that quickly went viral showed Bumrah stumbling while walking up the stairs during the second session, visibly grimacing as he limped back onto the field at Old Trafford.

The incident occurred shortly after Bumrah had bowled just one over with the second new ball, following 90 overs of England's innings. The 31-year-old was seen leaving the field soon after, prompting fears about a possible ankle injury. Although he returned within 20 minutes, he looked uncomfortable and was unable to bowl until after the Tea break due to ICC playing conditions.
The tension grew when Mohammed Siraj also appeared to be in discomfort, struggling to complete his 22nd over before limping off for treatment. Siraj, however, returned to the field later in the session, easing some of India's immediate worries.
India's pace attack has already been hit hard in this series, with Arshdeep Singh, Akash Deep and Nitish Kumar Reddy ruled out due to various injuries. Debutant Anshul Kamboj was drafted in as a replacement, but India's resources continued to be tested on a challenging day.

England ended Day 3 at a commanding 544/7, with a lead of 186 runs and Ben Stokes unbeaten on 77, eyeing a series-clinching victory with two days to go.
