Kangana Ranaut, the Padma Shri recipient, shared an old clip from her earlier interview where she questioned actors and sportsmen for embracing artists from Pakistan and China, citing how much demoralising it would be for the soldiers. This clip has been resurfacing on the internet in light of the current difficult circumstances of the country.
What did Kangana Ranaut say?
While Kangana was promoting her film, ‘Tejas,’ she appeared in a News18 interview where she expressed her concerns. Ranaut stated, “I have noticed in the TV debates, where the soldiers ask when Bollywood is showcasing its love for the artists of Pakistan and China, cricketers are hugging them, then am I the only one who thinks of them as enemies?”
“What does a soldier feel.. when they are guarding our borders.. it must be demoralising when the people of the country speak in such a manner,” she added.
Furthermore, Kangana pointed out the disrespect that the armed forces face. “You don’t want to stand at attention during the national anthem… You question the valour and courage of the soldiers who fight for the nation… ‘There was no strike, they ran away,” she said, indicating how armed forces are often disregarded.
“You use vulgar language, that they have been beaten up and that they have been in a plight,” Ranaut continued, expressing the incivility.
Kangana praises the Indian Air Defence systemsRecently, after the unfortunate drone and missile attacks on Jammu, Ranaut praised the Indian Air Defence system for avoiding harm by taking down the drones, which were targeted at dozens of locations. “Jammu on target! Indian Air Defence neutralises Pakistan drones in #Jammu. Stay strong #Jammu,” she wrote in her Instagram story.
The threats were eliminated by India’s S-400 air defence system. In another story, Ranaut wrote, “Our Sudarshan Chakra — the S-400 Air Defence System — demolished the Pakistani air attack! Among the world’s most powerful defence technologies, the S-400 deal was signed by PM Narendra Modi’s govt with Russia in 2018. #OperationSindoor."
