The assassination of senior politician Baba Siddique last week has sent shock waves across the country. The murder, carried out by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, is being traced to Salman Khan's close friendship with the late politician. Salman has been on the scanner of the gang since many years, and reportedly this act, it is being alleged, was committed to send the actor a message.

Recently, reports have been rife that soon, a web series based on the gangster, who is currently incarcerated at Sabarmati Central Jail, will be out soon. News18 earlier reported that Jani Firefox Film Production house will soon come out with a series based on his life, Lawrence - A Gangster Story.

However, director-producer Anil Nagrath told us that the title has been registered with his company, so he is not sure of the series. He said, "The title is registered with us since January 2024 . And the tradition of registering title based on current news and newsmakers has been a trend for many decades But for now this is the only title that is registered on Lawrence Bishnoi."

On the other hand, Navi Mumbai police have arrested a man called Sukha, accused to be plotting to murder Salman Khan. The man was apprehended from Panipat, Haryana, and will be presented in court after being brought to Navi Mumbai.

Salman Khan has been receiving death threats since many years, mainly from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Last week, senior politician Baba Siddique was shot dead in Mumbai by the gang, allegedly due to his close ties with Salman Khan. According to reports, by this act, the gang wanted to send a message across to the star.

And now, Salman's Khan security has been upgraded to the Y+ category, soon after the murder. As per India Today, the security entourage will include police escort cars, who will travel with Salman when he steps out. He will also be accompanied by a constable, who has been trained to use all weapons.

This apart, Salman Khan's personal security has also been beefed up, and it was reported that he has been advised not to entertain any visitors for the next few weeks or so. However, a close family friend of the actor told ETimes that Salman khan's doors have always been open for friends and colleagues of the film industry. The actor has not stopped anyone from visiting his house, but the family is a bit more cautious. The friend also added that despite the threat, Salman has made sure to stand by Baba Siddique's family.

Salman Khan's father Salim Khan, too has also been asked to exercise caution, as he goes for his morning walk in Bandra everyday. The actor's Panvel farmhouse has also seen a security upgrade, though Salman spends more time in Mumbai now. This was confirmed by sources in Navi Mumbai police.
