Jr NTR will soon be making his much-anticipated Bollywood debut in 'War 2', starring alongside Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the spy action thriller is set to hit theatres on August 14. While Jr NTR's Hindi film debut has been the talk of the town, Jr NTR's longtime body double, Eshwar Harris, revealed he won't be part of 'War 2'.
Eshwar Harris has been Jr NTR's body double for a very long time and has worked closely with Jr NTR on most of his films including performing stunts in 'RRR'. During an interview on the YouTube channel, Mana Stars shared that he was approached for the project due to Jr NTR's leaner look for the film. However, Harris turned down the offer, citing that the remuneration was so low it wouldn't even cover his travel expenses from Hyderabad to Mumbai. He expressed disappointment at the pay disparity, noting that Bollywood, despite its bigger budgets, offered less than what he typically earns in Tollywood.
As for Jr NTR's role in 'War 2', there's been much speculation about whether he would play the villain. However, reports indicate he will portray an Indian agent, joining the ranks of the YRF Spy Universe’s elite characters, alongside Salman Khan's 'Tiger', Hrithik Roshan's 'Kabir', and Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathaan'. The makers are reportedly planning to expand Jr NTR's character into future spin-offs and cameos.
Jr NTR has now shifted his focus on his next big project rumoured to be titled 'Dragon' directed by Prashanth Neel. A recent photo from the set, shared by the makers, shows Jr NTR sporting a new, lean physique, which quickly went viral online.
After this film, he is expected to begin the work for 'Devara: Part 2'.
