Goa Experiences Pre-Monsoon Showers: IMD Forecasts Thunderstorms and Rain

Several areas in Goa experienced pre-monsoon showers on Thursday, with Dharbandora recording moderate rainfall of 19mm while Dabolim, Ponda and Panaji received lighter precipitation, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The IMD data showed Dabolim registered 3.2mm of rainfall, followed by Ponda with 2.8mm and Panaji with 2mm of very light showers.
The weather department has predicted partly cloudy skies across Goa over the next 24 hours with evening rainfall likely. Temperature conditions are expected to remain stable, with maximum temperatures around 35°C and minimum around 27°C.
The IMD has issued alerts for thunderstorms with gusty winds reaching speeds of 30-40 kmph in isolated areas across North and South Goa districts until May 16. Light thundershowers are also expected during this period.
