Pakistan finally broke a duck when they won the first test match at home after close to fur years, when they defeated England by 152 runs. This was a big win for Pakistan especially in the absence of some of the biggest stars of the country like Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah. The biggest question on the minds of fans is if they are finally in the race to qualify for the final of the World Test Championship that is set to be held in Lord's from June 11.

Can Pakistan Qualify For WTC 2025 Final?Pakistan have finally moved up from the last position of the WTC 2023-25 table, as they stand on 8th with their 3rd win this cycle. They now have a PCT of 25.83. They have 5 more Tests remaining before the WTC 2023-25 cycle comes to a close. This includes the final Test of the series vs England followed by two Tests against South Africa in South Africa, and two against West Indies at home.Even if Pakistan win all their remaining Test matches they will have a PCT of 44.4. In the third innings, Pakistan were all out for 221, thus giving a 297-run target to England.Noman Ali then took 8 wickets in the fourth innings for Pakistan, as England were all out for 144. Thus Pakistan won the match by 152 runs.
