Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have confirmed that Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar was killed in a firefight in Rafah’s Tel Sultan neighborhood. Yesterday's operation, spearheaded by the 450th Battalion of the Bislamach Brigade, started when a soldier saw suspicious activity close to a structure.

The soldiers were forced to retreat when Sinwar, who was well equipped, hurled two explosives. Drone Surveillance and ConfirmationA man with a wounded arm and a covered face was recognized by a drone that had entered the building to look for Sinwar.
