A travel influencer who visited Pakistan's capital city, Islamabad, expressed astonishment after observing the ratio of women in public spaces. The influencer, who documented her experience through an Instagram reel, questioned why there were almost no women visible in public areas. The clip shows her arriving at the airport and turning the camera towards the other passengers, most of whom were men. Not just airports, but bustling marketplaces and popular tourist destinations also had very few women present. In her post, she wrote: “HELLO ISLAMABAD. Ratio is 1:50 everywhere we go in this city. Something we noticed immediately as we landed… where my sisters at?”The post quickly gained traction, with many flocking to the comments section to share their thoughts. Several users raised concerns about women's safety in Pakistan.
One user commented, “The place looks very unsafe.”Another added, “What would you expect in a country where a girl child got shot for going to school, and these blind religious people call it West propaganda.”One individual said, “Men are working to feed the family.”
