Mumbai: In a big development in Salman Khan threat case, one of the accused arrested by the Navi Mumbai Police has been found to be in touch with handlers in Pakistan. Sukha alias Sukhbir Balbir Singh was arrested on Wednesday from Haryana's Panipat and is a member of Lawrence Bishnoi gang.Sukha alias Sukhbir Balbir Singh, who happens to be the sixth arrest made by the Mumbai police, is a significant one because police officials have established a direct link between him and weapon dealers based in Pakistan.Sukha had given "supari" to other gang members to kill Salman Khan. He asked Pakistan-based handler to carry out attack on Salman Khan and they smuggled arms from Pakistan to kill Salman Khan. The Navi Mumbai police has already registered a case against 18 people of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang after shots were fired outside his Bandra apartment in April. Sukhbir Balbir Singh hired 4-5 people who did recce of Salman Khan's house and came to a conclusion that killing Salman Khan is not an easy task and hence they needed advanced weapons to carry out the task. A contract of Rs 25 Lakh was given to these people to gun down Salman Khan.

Singh along with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang members had planned to use weapons from Pakistan, such as AK-47s, M16s and AK92s, to execute the alleged plot to kill Salman Khan. Salman Khan Gets Fresh ThreatMeanwhile, Salman Khan received a fresh death threat on Friday where the sender of the death threat has now demanded Rs 5 crore from the Bollywood Superstar. This is the first death threat to the actor after the killing of former Minister and his close friend Baba Siddique who was shot dead on October 12.

A threatening message was received on a WhatsApp number of Mumbai Traffic Police, in which Rs 5 crore has been demanded from Bollywood actor Salman Khan, news agency ANI reported citing the Mumbai Police. The sender reportedly threatened that if the money is not given, "Salman Khan's condition will be worse than Baba Siddique".“Don't take it lightly, if Salman Khan wants to stay alive and wants to end the enmity with Lawrence Bishnoi, then he will have to pay Rs 5 crore. If the money is not given, Salman Khan's condition will be worse than Baba Siddique,” the sender claimed, reported ANI.The Navi Mumbai police will also interrogate Sukhbir Singh in connection with the case of murder of NCP leader and former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique, the official said.

On April 24 this year, the Navi Mumbai police registered a case against 18 identified accused and others of the Bishnoi gang for hatching a conspiracy to kill Salman Khan. The development followed a firing outside the actor's Bandra residence in Mumbai by Bishnoi gang members.Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, his brother Anmol, Sampat Nehra, Goldie Brar and Rohit Godhara were among the persons named as accused in the FIR.
