Heritage Spirit Scrambler X R4: Renault's Stylish Tribute to the Classic Renault R4

New Delhi: At the 2024 Paris Motor Show, Renault has collaborated with French start-up Ateliers HeritageBike to launch a limited edition electric motorcycle, the Heritage Spirit Scrambler X R4, priced at €26,900 (approximately Rs 24,52,688). Renault is showcasing its innovations in halls 5 and 6, featuring a mini-caravan, plane, motorbike, and water bike. The event runs from October 14 to 20, 2024.Arnaud Belloni, Global Chief Marketing Officer of Renault Brand, stated, "For the reveal of the Renault 4 E-Tech electric, we are proud to partner with four French start-ups presenting all-electric means of mobility. It’s a stylish way to show how e-mobility has evolved, including the iconic 4L, now known as the Renault 4 E-Tech electric."The Heritage Spirit Scrambler X R4, a tribute to the classic Renault R4, is limited to just 10 units, with pre-orders now open and deliveries expected to begin in April 2025.Technical Specifications and PerformanceThe electric motorcycle features a 4.8 kWh lithium-ion battery and a 7 kW Gem Motors electric motor, producing 280 Nm of torque. It offers a riding range of up to 110 km on a single charge and can reach a top speed of 99 km/h. The braking system includes Brembo 4-piston front brakes with a 320 mm disc, ensuring excellent stopping power.DesignThe design of the Heritage Spirit Scrambler X R4 is striking, showcasing a handsome neo-retro aesthetic with meticulous attention to detail—qualities expected from a limited edition vehicle. It features a compact LED headlight unit with integrated LED DRLs, a single-piece ribbed genuine leather seat, and a wide handlebar with circular bar-end mirrors. The motorcycle also has a traditional fuel tank design, with the battery pack housed beneath a smooth panel.SuspensionThe Renault electric motorcycle is equipped with USD telescopic front forks from WP and a rear mono-shock unit from EMC. It rides on 17-inch aluminium wire-spoke wheels, fitted with scrambler-style knobby tires from Heidenau. For braking, it used a 320 mm front disc and a 240 mm rear disc, both complemented by Brembo brake callipers, ensuring superior stopping power.
