Rocky Singh, one half of the popular foodie duo from the TV show Highway On My Plate, has joined Swiggy as a brand ambassador, as announced by the food delivery platform's CEO, Rohit Kapoor, in a LinkedIn post. This new partnership adds an interesting dynamic to the ongoing rivalry between Swiggy and Zomato, as Singh’s former co-host, Mayur Sharma, is affiliated with Zomato. The duo parted ways in 2022, with Mayur leaving for personal reasons. In a March 2023 Instagram post, Rocky shared an update about their split: “Hey all, almost 1 year since Mayur left for personal reasons and I’ve been working alone. We chat on the phone but we both have our work to look after so we don’t meet or chat as often as we would like. The love is all there and will always be - Regards Rocky.”

On Wednesday, Kapoor shared details about his light-hearted conversation with Rocky, which eventually led to him becoming Swiggy’s ambassador. "Rocky and I were doing chai-samose par charcha the other day... Rocky asked, 'This 10-minute food delivery, how does it even work? Koi khana bana bhi raha hai ya only packets are being opened?' I assured him it’s all fresh food from nearby restaurants—idlis, momos, chai, and samosas—all freshly prepared.”Kapoor further explained how he persuaded Rocky to experience the process first-hand by joining him on a few food deliveries. In the accompanying video, both can be seen donning Swiggy’s signature orange t-shirts as they hop on bikes for their deliveries. “Aisa karte hain, let's do a few deliveries. We can meet the partners also. Rocky ko dekh ke, they'll be happy. So, Rocky and I do a few Bolt deliveries aram se. And the other thunderbolt is that Rocky is a Swiggy Ambassador now,” Kapoor added.
