Amid Putin's Nuclear Warning, Top Israel Official Says 'All Options Open' Against Iran

Eli Cohen, Israel's Energy Minister and a member of Netanyahu's cabinet, said that 'all options are on the table' against Iran, including attacking nuclear facilities, as per a report by Israeli news outlet Walla News. Cohen, who was Israel's former Finance Minister, warned that Israel is yet to show 'even 10%' of its 'unprecedented intelligence capabilities.' However, Cohen's warning came amidst a warning to Israel from Russian president Vladimir Putin against the user of nuclear weapons in the Middle East. "We have yet to show even 10% of our unprecedented intelligence capabilities," Cohen said. "We're committed to preventing the Iranians from acquiring nuclear weapons. Therefore, all options are on the table, including attacking nuclear facilities. There is no military facility, infrastructure, or person in Iran who has immunity."Earlier on Friday, reports surfaced that Russia has warned Israel not to strike Iran's nuclear infrastructure. Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov, a Putin aide, highlighted the drastic consequences striking Iran's nuclear facilities will lead to. Meanwhile, Israel has continued its targeted killing of leaders of Hamas and Hezbollah, with Hamas leader Yayha Sinwar being the latest target of an attack. Sinwar, who was the leader of the Gaza-based militant group, was killed in an Israeli drone strike in Rafah, Southern Gaza on Thursday.Also read: Previously, Israel killed Hezbollah commander Hassan Nasrallah in an airstrike in Beirut, Lebanon.
