Their mother Zara Tindall has ridden horses professionally - even earning herself a silver medal in the London Olympics in 2012.

Rebecca said that Zara's children even share the pony with their royal cousins, the Prince and Princess of Wales's children.

She said: "My children had a little black Shetland called Dermot and I wanted him to have the best life, so I gave him to Zara for her children.

"The cousins rode on him too. He's an incredible little pony; everybody loves Dermot. He's adored, and rightly so."

Speaking to the publication, Rebecca also praised 42-year-old Zara. She said: "She's an incredible, accomplished athlete. As a mum of three young children, she's balancing her life and her world, and achieving at a really high level in a sport that is dominated by men. She is a trailblazer in many ways.

"My experience in sport is the same as some female riders who have children.

"It's like: 'Hmm, how can you be riding a horse when you have kids?' because it's a risky sport as well. There are a lot of similarities from that perspective."

Zara's husband Mike Tindall - who is a former rugby professional - previously shared how close their children are to George, Charlotte and Louis.

Speaking to the Telegraph, Mike spoke of their bond: "Lena and obviously Louis are similar ages and Mia's sort of in between Charlotte and George, and then you've got Peter's children Savannah and Isla who are just a little bit older."

He added: "James [Prince Edward son] is, well, not exactly the ring leader, but he's the oldest. So, yeah, it's going to be a good little group."
