One person who visited Robin Hood's Bay said: "The beach is clean with sand areas as well as large expanses of rock and cliff with many areas for fossil hunting and rock pooling to be had.

"Further south from Robin Hood's Bay Village you can find a waterfall directly onto the beach. It is an that's really good for the soul.

"Do be careful of the tide times as we didn't quite leave enough time to get back to Robin Hood's Bay without having to roll our shorts up and wade through the final bit. I highly recommend a visit here."
