The study conducted by SIXT revealed the temperature of seas around the UK as people across the country begin to search more about " near me". According to the reports, there has been a 68 % rise in Google searches over the past week. Nestled on the Roseland Peninsula in Cornwall, the village was featured among the "20 most beautiful villages in the UK and Ireland" by Condé Nast Traveler in 2020.

Situated within the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), Portloe offers stunning coastal landscapes.

The South West Coast Path passes through the village, providing walkers with breathtaking views of the rugged coastline.

The village is located approximately 20 km southeast of Truro. The village is accessible by car, with scenic routes leading through the Cornish countryside. Public transportation options are limited, so planning ahead is advisable.

"The only other place I know of like this is Cadgwith Cove on the Lizard peninsula. Simple and unspoiled - thankfully not inundated with tourists like Polperro. There are beautiful clifftop walks to enjoy, or you can just sit and listen to the waves lapping on the shore."

Another user wrote: "It's a small coastland village, and there's not much going on there. It is beautiful and makes a nice walk. The views are fantastic and nice way to spend a few hours. There are places to eat there, but that's pretty much it."
