was interrupted for a "breaking" announcement on . The programme came to a halt just minutes after the president took to his Truth Social account to call out Vladimir Putin for Russia's continued attacks on Ukraine.
The lengthy post appeared to suggest that Mr Trump is turning on the Russian president, with the Sky News presenter branding the final few lines as "very telling".
"It says, 'There is no reason for Putin to be shooting missiles into civilian areas, cities and towns, over the last few days. It makes me think that maybe he doesn't want to stop the war, he's just tapping me along, and has to be dealt with differently, through banking or secondary sanctions.
"'Too many people are dying.' He finishes off with three exclamation marks. So a lengthy post in the last few moments from Donald Trump about all sorts of things relating to the war and Crimea and weapons."
The presenter added: "Tellingly finishing off saying he suspects that Russia or Putin in his words, may be 'tapping him along' and has to be dealt with differently through banking or secondary sanctions."
Mr Trump began his post by mentioning the "Failing New York Times", rekindling old animosity he appears to have for the publication. He began: "No matter what deal I make with respect to / , no matter how good it is, even if it's the greatest deal ever made, the Failing New York Times will speak BADLY of it."
After singling out a writer from the paper, he criticised past US administrations, claiming he was unfairly censured over Ukraine losing Crimea. He added: "I've had nothing to do with this stupid war, other than early on I gave Ukraine Javelins, and Obama gave them sheets.
"This is Sleepy Joe Biden's war, not mine. It was a loser from day one, and should have never happened, and wouldn't have happened if I were President at the time."
Moscow's top diplomat said is "ready to reach a deal" over ending the war in hours after launching a devastating attack on Kyiv. At least 12 were killed and more than 80 wounded in the Ukrainian capital after it was bombarded by overnight on Thursday.
But despite , the country's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov claimed Moscow is prepared to stop the fighting. In an interview with CBS' 'Face the Nation, the key ally said: "The president of the United States believes, and I think rightly so, that we are moving in the right direction. The statement by the president mentions a deal and we are ready to reach a deal."
