's was branded a "car crash" after host was forced to confront a Labour MP about the Government's . A member of the audience asked: "I understand we've got to have a certain amount of immigration.
"If you're saying we can only have people now at degree level... we've needed to get the lower people in to help run the hospitals, run the care homes and it's been going back years. "For people to go an work in the agricultural sector because we can't get our own people in those positions to do the job, so how are we going to cover that?" Labour MP Peter Kyle responded: "We can still have people in those jobs but the companies hiring them must first prove that they are trying to recruit from within Britain," which prompted Fiona to step in.
The presenter interrupted: "Not in social care, in social care you're going to close that route for visa's."
Kyle stuttered: "There are thousands of people trained in social work who are not in social work"
After Fiona corrected: "You mean social care," she added: "The number of vacancies is much greater than the number who have visas who've got it at the moment."
"So we must start using all the labour we have domestically before going abroad," said the politician.
Addressing the man in the audience, he continued: "And the point about the kind of agricultural work you're saying," but before he could finish, Fiona interjected: "Just to be clear, are you confident there will not be a shortfall in people working in social care?"
Kyle stated: "I am confident that we will be able to recruit for those places."

The presenter added: "Even though care homes say that they can't, they tried everything, they've raised salaries, they put ads out and they're not successful."
"We will be investing in the skills base that will produce the people for it," the MP hit back.
The concerns for the growing vacancies within the UK care sector came after the Government made changes to immigration rules, such as ending overseas recruitment for care workers and restricting dependents on visas.
Although these changes were aimed at tackling exploitation and reducing immigration levels, they also raised concerns about exacerbating workforce shortages in the care sector.
