Princess Anne's 'protective' move towards King Charles spotted by expert

is not only the younger sister of King Charles, but she appears to be one of his closest confidantes too. Since the monarch took to the throne in 2022, Anne, 74, seems to have been a constant source of support for her older brother, 76, who is still undergoing cancer treatment since his diagnosis last year.

As well as being seen publicly sharing jokes and laughs, the Princess Royal is often also seen by the King's side during big serious royal events, and the was no exception. Anne, alongside other senior royals, , watched the parade and flypast, and held a tea party for veterans. However, it was during the Royal Family's appearance on the Buckingham Palace balcony that a body language expert spotted a sweet moment between Anne and the King.

Body language "During one moment on the balcony Princess Anne, who had been chatting to her brother in a strong display of unity during the fly-past, seemed to notice that Charles was waving to go indoors before the anthem had been played.

"Placing a hand out to pat him affectionately on the back, she seemed to warn him so he could turn and get into position.

"It was a gesture that suggested Anne is quietly keeping an eye on her brother."

A royal aide also once told that Anne is one of his most "reliable" confidantes:

They said: "Camilla might be the love of his life, but Anne's his greatest and most reliable confidante.

"Anne's the only one with the ability to tell him uncomfortable truths and pull him back from any emotional distractions.

"Camilla's in charge of his heart, but Anne has his head and is there for him."
