If the gripping psychological thriller The Guest, starring Eve Myles on BBC iPlayer, has left you wanting more from the Welsh actress, another of her dramas with a perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes is now available to stream on the platform. Eve's 2017 series Keeping Faith is one to add to the watchlist after being hailed a "true masterpiece" by viewers who have digested all three seasons of the mystery drama.
Keeping Faith follows Eve's character Faith Howells as her world is turned upside down when her husband Evan Howells (played by Bradley Freegard) suddenly disappears, and she's the prime suspect. Faith was a small-town lawyer who had been on extended maternity leave when Evan disappeared. As time passes, Faith, who is also Evan's business partner, uncovers twisted secrets about his double life and their law firm's financial difficulties.
Eve's character slowly transforms from a domesticated homemaker to a resilient investigator, desperate to uncover the truth.
Fans have written glowing reviews of the show, with one sharing: "This is one of the very best TV shows we have ever seen. The writing and directing are superlative, but the quality of the acting is superb. Set in Wales, the plot twists and turns, but the characters are complex and believable, and the story is never manipulative."
A second added: "The music and cinematography got me hooked on this from the first session. I really enjoyed the build-up of characters, slow but steady storyline. I'd describe it as picturesque, quirky and just a refreshing glimpse of a tangled life."
Someone else shared: "One of the best series I have watched in the last 5 years. Sorry, it is not continuing, but maybe someone will decide to pick it up at some future point in Faith's life! Eve Myles is terrific! Every thought and feeling is evident in her face."
One fan penned: "Bl***dy brilliant! I absolutely loved this show. I couldn't get enough. Most of the actors' performances were great and believable. The show kept you on your seat, wondering what would happen next."
Another said: "Addictive drama so incredibly acted with Eve Myles drawing you into her every emotion. A true masterpiece which I never wanted to end and shall miss it enormously."
Seasons one to three of Keeping Faith can be watched on BBC iPlayer.
