Emmerdale Stephanie's identity confirmed as she arrives with her grandfather

fans are set for a treat as the enigmatic Stephanie Milligan finally makes her debut on the show this month, following weeks of anticipation.

Joining the ITV staple are two fresh faces, with it now being confirmed that the unexpected entrance of Steph and her father Anthony will send shockwaves through the Milligan clan.

Steph, portrayed by Georgia Jay, is described as savvy, self-assured and dangerously impulsive, having been out of touch with both parents for over ten years. Unmistakably inheriting the best and worst traits of Caleb and Ruby, her unquenchable ambition mirrors their own narcissistic tendencies.

Upon stepping into the role, Georgia Jay expressed her delight: "I am thrilled to be joining the cast of Emmerdale. The cast and crew have all been so welcoming and I'm very excited to see what lies ahead for Steph, given her intriguing backstory."

Despite Anthony's transformation into a seemingly affable figure in his later years, Ruby, enacted by Beth Cordingly, hasn't seen her father Anthony, depicted by Nicholas Day, in more than three decades.

With the passing of her mother, Ruby finds herself compelled to face an unpleasant family re-encounter. Sharing thoughts on his engagement with the series, Nicholas Day remarked: "I've been made so welcome in the Emmerdale family.

"And my screen family is great to work with, the scenes just fly. No kidding - I feel blessed."

Emmerdale's producer, Sophie Roper, expressed her excitement about the new additions to the cast: "We're delighted to be welcoming Nicholas and Georgia to Emmerdale as part of the Miligan family.

"With so much yet to discover about Ruby, the arrival of her father and daughter will unlock her past and see Ruby and Caleb tested in ways we've never seen before."

She further praised the actors' prowess, saying, "With two actors of such great calibre, they're certainly set to make their mark on the Dales." Anthony and Georgia are slated to make their debut on the show later this month.

Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 at 7.30pm and available to stream from 7am on ITVX
