Emmerdale actress Amy Walsh has left an emotional tribute to her co-star after his tragic on-screen death. Amy, best known for playing Tracy Metcalfe on the ITV soap, took to Instagram this week after a devastating funeral episode for her on-screen husband Nate Robinson, played by Jurell Carter.
Nate has been killed off as part of a sinister plot involving John Sugden, with his body left beneath a frozen lake for months. Tracy was left devastated to discover Nate hadn't abandoned her and their daughter Frankie, but had instead met a grisly end.
Now Amy has posted a series of sweet snaps to her social media, including one of her standing next to Jurell with them both in matching DryRobes as they grinned at the camera. Others involved their shared on-screen daughter on-set, along with a cast meal involving Belle Dingle star Eden Taylor Draper, Victoria Sugden actress Isabel Hodgins and Mackenzie Boyd star Lawrence Robb.
Amy wrote alongside her post: "'A big man with a big heart' - says it all. Can't believe this is the end for Nate and Tracy, properly this time. It was a pleasure to share the screen with you @jurellcarter. You're missed by us all. Gone but never forgotten."
Jurell quickly headed to the comments section to reply, penning: "Ahhh Amyyy, you little softie, I miss you." Their co-star Beth Cordingly, who plays Ruby Fox Miligan, added: "A truly beautiful man in every sense of the word. @Jurellcarter you are missed."
Amy's Girls Aloud star sister Kimberly Walsh added: "End of an era!" while one fan added: "Aww lovely pic, Nate was amazing in Emmerdale, miss him!"
Someone else said: "You have both worked well together. Tonight's episode was incredible."
While a third viewer echoed: "Loved how they all came together, the scene with Tracy and Cain hugging. Now time to take John down!"
