The Guest viewers all said the same thing just minutes into the first episode of the new thriller series.
Filmed and set in Wales, the four-part thriller series focusses on the toxic relationship between business owner Fran and her cleaner, Ria.
Their lives become dangerously intertwined by shared secrets and an obsessive co-dependence. Their relationship also becomes dangerous and manipulative, described as a "psychological game of cat-and-mouse".
The pair's lives couldn't be more different as cleaner Ria lives with her out-of-work boyfriend, barely making ends meet. Meanwhile Fran is a charismatic businesswoman with all the lavish trappings that go with success.
The first episode of the BBC show was full of twists and turns from the get go as Fran's advice leads to tragedy and Ria's life is changed forever.
After an incident in a local supermarket when Fran witnessed Ria get caught for shoplifting, the business woman decided to offer Ria a well-paid job as her cleaner.
Desperate for work Ria jumps at the opportunity but it's obvious right from the start that something's off. Fran can see that Ria is not happy in her current relationship with her childhood boyfriend.
Things take a turn when Fran tells Ria to join a dating site and start seeing other people behind her boyfriend's back.
Ria decided to take Fran's advice and went on a date with a guy she met on the app; however, it all goes horribly wrong when Ria decided to have her second date at Fran's house after her boss went away for the night.
Pretending to live in a multi-million pound mansion started off well however once Fran rang and revealed that she was coming home early, things turned sinister.

Ria's date discovered that she was lying about her lifestyle and one thing led to another, with the man chasing Ria around the house attempting to hurt her.
In a split second Ria's life changed forever as she accidentally pushed her date off the top of the stairs and it ended with Fran walking in to find his lifeless body.
It didn't take long for fans to rush straight to social media to share their reaction. One viewer took to X, formerly known as Twitter and said: "Immediately liking this #theguest."
Another commented: "Watching #TheGuest good so far." A third wrote: "Watching #TheGuest because I'd watch @TeamEveMyles in anything and I have huge kitchen envy! Cannot wait to see how it pans out."
