Summer might be over, but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy a sunny getaway. People looking for holidays abroad have plenty of choices for warmer weather, and if you're looking for cheaper, shorterflights, destinations like Spain, Turkey, and Greece might be the perfect choice.
For anyone keen to plan a last-minute holiday, a travel lover has shared a list of six destinations she recommends visiting in October - offering lots of inspiration for sunseekers. Posting on TikTok as @kelseyinlondon, the London-based travel creator shared her recommendations with her 400,000 followers. Find Kelsey's suggestions below:
SpainKelsey wrote: "Mallorca, Ibiza & Menorca are still warm in October, averaging 23°C (73°F) with sunny days and swimmable seas. Barcelona also has pleasant highs of 22°C (72°F), perfect for sightseeing without summer crowds."

The content creator said: "Lisbon and the Algarve enjoy highs of 22°C–25°C (72°F–77°F) in October, making it an ideal time for golden beach days and exploring cities without the scorching summer heat."
GreeceKelsey advised: "Santorini, Paros and Mykonos average 23°C (73°F) in October – as do many of the Greek islands. The seas are still warm for swimming, and you'll catch golden sunsets without the peak-season chaos."
TurkeyShe continued: "Antalya on the coast hits 25°C (77°F) with plenty of sunshine, perfect for beach days. Inland, Cappadocia has mild, sunny highs of 20°C (68°F) — ideal for the famous hot air balloon rides."
Italy"Southern spots like Capri, Positano and Sicily are still warm, around 22°C (72°F). October also brings harvest season, which means fewer tourists and plenty of wine festivals across Tuscany," the blogger said.
FranceKelsey added: "Saint-Tropez & Nice on the French Riviera, enjoys around 22°C (72°F) in October. It's warm enough for al fresco dining and coastal walks, with fewer crowds compared to peak summer in the South of France."

Kelsey's video proved to be very popular with viewers, garnering over 600,000 views and more than 35,000 likes. One viewer said: "You convinced me." Kelsey replied: "I literally never travel to Europe in peak summer - way too hot, crowded and expensive. I know some people don't have a choice though with school holidays."
