Tributes from the sporting world and beyond have been paid to Liverpool FC star Diogo Jota and his brother Andre, who died in a car crash in Spain - and we're inviting you to share your own personal message in our online book of condolence.
The 28-year-old father-of-three tragically passed away alongside Andre, after the Lamborghini they were travelling in veered off the road and burst into flames. Diogo married his longterm partner Rute Cardoso a matter of days ago, just weeks after celebrating winning the Premier League title with Liverpool.
Fans gathered outside Anfield on Thursday and began leaving flowers, scarves and tributes to the much-loved player, while the club said it was “devastated” by the “unimaginable loss”. Liverpool's manager Arne Slot added: "Diogo was not just our player. He was a loved one to all of us. I could say so much about what he brought to our team but the truth is everyone who watched Diogo play could see it. Hard work, desire, commitment, great quality, goals. The essence of what a Liverpool player should be."

Last month he won the UEFA Nations League with his national team Portugal and just eleven days before the crash he married his long term partner, and mother to his three children, Rute Cardoso.
The Portuguese Football Federation said it was “devastated” to learn of the deaths, adding: “Their deaths represent irreparable losses for Portuguese football.” Meanwhile Portugal national team captain Cristiano Ronaldo said he wishes Jota’s family “all the strength in the world”.
