Nicola Peltz and Brooklyn Beckham to deliver ultimate snub to Victoria and David tonight

are set to deliver a serious snub to David and Victoria tonight. David is reportedly "really hurt" after the on the weekend amid reports that billionaire heiress, Nicola, is driving a wedge between the father and son.

Despite being in the UK,, 26, and his wife, 30, were a no-show at the fancy festivities at the Beckhams' palatial pile in the Cotswolds and now they're set to walk the red carpet tonight along with a slew of A-listers at the biggest fashion event of the year, the Met Gala in New York.

David apparently knew the pair were attending the gala, which is adorned by a host of famous faces every year. However, he is said to be "really hurt" they didn't make an effort to attend his milestone birthday.

A family friend told the : "They always knew he was due to attend the but the fact he was in London and still didn’t come has really hurt. They failed to turn up at any family events and yet they will go to a place where they will barely know anyone."

Adding further fuel to the fire, Brooklyn and Nicola posted snaps of themselves larking around in their lavish hotel room in London with champagne while the rest of the Beckham gang toasted David in Gloucestershire.

Claiming that Nicola is the reason behind the drama - which is showing no sign of abating - the source said: "Victoria and David would do anything to get their son back, but they are done with Nicola now.

"Nicola basically finds a way to start an argument then she pushes him to not speak to his family and then he doesn’t show for family events. She’s done this before every family event since the wedding. As for David’s birthday, it feels like it’s all part of the same pattern.

‘"Nicola will kick something off and it will blow up and then it becomes impossible for him to go."

Claiming seeing the couple parading around at the Met Gala tonight will be the ultimate snub, they concluded: "‘They have tried and tried but they are done with her. It will hurt a lot to see Brooklyn and Nicola in photos at the Met Gala and yet he couldn’t make the family celebrations."

Brooklyn and Nicola flew to London from their LA home last week. As well as David’s 50th, they also did not attend Victoria’s birthday celebrations in April, or send a public Mother’s Day message in March.

Last month, the wannabe chef and self-confessed "nutter in the kitchen" posted a picture of a bouquet of flowers he received to mark his third wedding anniversary with the Transformers star.

However, none of Brooklyn's family publicly acknowledged the celebration.

The Mirror has approached representatives for David, Brooklyn and Nicola for comment.
