Mobile phone addicts have admitted they would go without sex and ditch lovers to hold onto their phones.
And technology nuts have more of a soft spot when it comes to their furry friends as they would choose to keep their dogs over coffee.
But they also revealed they would much prefer a decent broadband connection instead. They made the admissions in a study that ranked what they couldn’t live without.

The league table showed even though Brits are addicted to their tech, they still felt the one thing they wouldn’t ditch was their kids, with 57% saying they were their most treasured “possession”.
But second on the list, was the mobile phone – chosen by 53% as an item more valuable than even their mum, who only came fourth on the list of priorities, reports the Daily Star.
Sex came just fifteenth on the 30-strong list – after hot baths and showers (chosen by 33%), coffee (27%), good broadband (27%) and dogs.
They came a respectful eighth in the list, with 29% saying they couldn’t live without their four-legged companions.
The research, from LightSpeed Broadband, found more than a quarter of the nation “wouldn’t be able to get through the day” without fast broadband.
Another 29% said they would struggle without chocolate.
Unfortunately for dads they appeared seventh in the list of things we can’t live without, just slightly higher than best friends.
Our own bed, good pillows, cups of tea and our cars also made an appearance, alongside crisps, roast dinners and football.
Anne-Liza Shepherd from LightSpeed Broadband said: “It’s fascinating to see what the nation considers essential.
“It’s also reassuring and heartening to see mums made it into the top five.
It reflects how important family life remains to people, even as our world becomes increasingly digital and fast-paced.” But she admitted a total of 87% of respondents said they couldn’t live without technology.
More than half of those polled added they often take for granted what they have around them.
A total of 55% also admitted would feel “depressed and lost” without their “most important things”.
