Liverpool fans have been left blown away by new signing Jeremie Frimpong after witnessing his lightning-quick pace during the team's 5-0 pre-season win over Stoke City.
Frimpong joined Liverpool for around £30million this summeras a direct replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold, who joined Real Madrid for around £10m.
Alexander-Arnold will be a tough act to follow after coming through the academy and helping the club to two Premier League titles and the Champions League, becoming one of the team's top players after making 354 appearances.
But Frimpong appears to have eased the minds of supporters after impressing against the Potters as he demonstrated how dangerous he can be on the flanks with his sheer speed.
Darwin Nunez netted a hat-trick during the behind-closed-doors friendly at Liverpool's AXA training centre, while record signing Florian Wirtz chipped in with two assists.

But it was Frimpong that was generating much of the discussion on social media after the game as fans raved about his explosive pace.
He actually started on the wing for this game and some supporters suggested he could even replace Mohamed Salah when the Egyptian leaves for AFCON later this year.
One post read: "Frimpong played RW and was an absolute weapon, combining with Conor Bradley many times. He’s definitely going to be Salah’s backup when Salah goes to AFCON.
Another added: "Bro Jeremie Frimpong is ridiculously quick nobody is catching this guy wtf." A third fan was left in awe by Frimpong as he wrote: "I know it’s only Stoke in pre season but Frimpong in these clips..."
"Bradley x Frimpong on the pitch at the same time," another tweet read. "What is Arne Slot cooking?"
Frimpong also played half of Liverpool's 3-1 friendly win over Preston last week. He is seen as one of Europe's most exciting right-sided players after helping Bayer Leverkusen win their first ever Bundesliga title in 2024.
Last season the Manchester City academy graduate scored five and assisted another eight after playing 48 games in all competitions. He made a total of 190 appearances for Leverkusen after joining from Celtic in 2020.
