Jake Paul reveals what Anthony Joshua said during phone call amid fight talks

has revealed that two-time heavyweight champion accepted his fight offer over the phone after the YouTuber-turned-boxer called him out.

"I want to fight Anthony Joshua because I know I will f***ing beat Anthony Joshua's ass," . "He doesn't have a chin and he has no skill and he's stiff. I love you, Anthony, we're friends and all this s*** but I want to fight you. I will beat Canelo, I will beat a lot of f***ing people."

Following the call-out, 'AJ' responded and both fighters posted images of the phone call with the caption 2026, teasing a potential clash sometime next year. Now, 'The Problem Child' has finally revealed exactly what was said during the surprising phone call.

"We're going to plan that for 2026. I talked to Anthony on the phone," Paul told the media at the launch press conference for Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano's trilogy bout. "He called me up and said, 'I saw you call me out, let's run it. Let's make it happen.'

"It's funny, I have said this before, but boxers don't like , they don't want to sign the contract. But at the end of the day, I'm just going to keep on training. We do have an announcement next week, but I'm not going to leak anything because we have had these fights pulled at the one-yard line with Canelo and Gervonta [Davis]. So I'm just not going to jinx it."

It's not the first time a potential clash between the pair has been mooted, with the YouTuber's joint-promoter Nakisa Bidarian opening the door to a potential showdown back in November. "Jake's feedback to me was I want to do that fight," Bidarian told . "Not now. But I want to do that fight. To be a champion at cruiserweight, he wants to do that.

"The other is to test the limits of expectations. Test the limits of what's possible. This event with , that tested the limits of what was possible for the world to see and him fighting Anthony Joshua or is kind of the same thing.

"Jake weighed in at 227lbs but really he walks around at 215. But he'll do it for the right environment, the right framework. It isn't about the money. He's made lots of money from the time he was 18 years old. It's really about disruption. It's really about doing things that make you say: 'Wow, that really happened.' That's what excites us."
