There is a large variety of skincare products on the market, and those with anti-ageing properties are particularly popular. As we age, our skin becomes thinner and less stretchy, leading to fine lines and wrinkles.
Some beauty and skincare fans opt for creams or serums to try to achieve a more youthful appearance, while others get treatments like Botox - which stops the muscle contractions that causes wrinkles - and dermal fillers, injections that restore volume, smooth deep lines and contour facial features. A content creator called Bambi Does Beauty is known for her “less is more approach to beauty” and she has gained 817,000 followers on Instagram and 41.6 million likes on TikTok.
In a recent post on Instagram, the 35-year-old revealed the five skincare products she buys from Boots that lead to her getting “Botox accusations”, she claims.

1. Anua PDRN Hyaluronic Acid Capsule 100 SerumKorean skincare has found a cult following among beauty fans. In contrast to other skincare routines that focus on treating existing problems, Korean skincare focuses on preventing issues before they arise and centres hydration and protecting the skin barrier to achieve healthy, radiant skin.
Korean brands use ingredients like snail mucin, ginseng and fermented rice water, which are known for their anti-inflammatory and anti-aging properties.
Bambi said of the Anua PDRN Hyaluronic Acid Capsule 100 Serum that she hasn’t found a serum that makes her skin softer.
It combines PDRN, hyaluronic acid and collagen to effectively hydrate the skin and is priced at £20 from Boots.
2. Nip + Fab Peptide Fix Finishing Oil 2%The beauty guru recommends adding a few drops of this oil to your moisturiser, promising it will “change the texture of your skin from rough and wrinkly to smooth and plump.”
She added the mixture is half water and half oil so it “doesn’t feel heavy” and doesn’t cause breakouts, noting that she is acne-prone.
This product blends multi-peptides with more than 10 oils that have active copper peptides, working together to strengthen the skin’s barrier and promote a smoother, firmer appearance.
Boots is selling the Nip + Fab Peptide Fix Finishing Oil 2% for £29.95.
3. Avène Cicalfate+ Restorative Protective CreamThe next skincare good Bambi highlighted in her Instagram post is the Avène Cicalfate+ Restorative Protective Cream, which she hails as the “cheat code to glowy skin.”
It is used to nourish, soothe and protect delicate, sensitive skin and treat common dry skin irritations, such as localised dryness, chapped skin and sunburn.
Bambi suggests applying it before going to bed to wake up with radiant-looking skin.
The cream is priced at just £10 for the 40ml size from Boots or £17 for 100ml.
4. La Roche-Posay Hyalu B5 Aquagel SPF30The beauty guru then moved onto the La Roche-Posay Hyalu B5 Aquagel SPF30, a hydrating gel that targets fine lines, tired and dull skin and a loss of volume and elasticity.
She believes this product “gives you glass skin” and has a “watery/gel primer texture.”
It offers UVA and UVB protection and also contains antioxidants to further prevent the skin. It costs £39.90 from Boots.
5. Beauty of Joseon Revive Eye Serum Ginseng + RetinalBambi’s final Boots skincare product that she said gets her “Botox accusations” is the Beauty of Joseon Revive Eye Serum Ginseng + Retinal.
The beauty content creator shared that this is another K-Beauty brand she swears by. She added: “I used to be too lazy for eye creams - once you hit the 30s it’s time to lock in.”
Bambi remarked that ginseng combined with retinal is a top combination for brightening and plumping the under eye, rating this product a 10 out of 10. It can be bought from Boots for £15.
