If your children, brothers and sisters study in a government school in Uttar Pradesh, then this news is very important for you. The state government has announced the implementation of five new rules aimed at increasing the nutritional quality of mid-day meals. Let's know about them-
Better nutrition for students: About 1.48 crore students of council schools will get additional supplementary nutrition as part of their mid-day meals.
New Nutrition Prasad: Every Thursday, students will be served a variety of nutritious food items including Ramdana and Bajra Laddu, Peanut Chikki, Jaggery-Sesame and Peanut Gajak and Roasted Gram.
Distribution schedule: There will be a total of 19 Thursdays from next month to March 2025, during which these nutritious food items will be given to the students.
Minimum quantity guidelines: While serving Ramdana and Bajra Laddu, Peanut Chikki and Jaggery-Til and Peanut Gajak, each student will get a minimum of 20 grams.
Roasted Gram Serving Quantity: For roasted gram, the quantity to be given to students will be fixed at 50 grams as per the new guidelines.
