'Part Of Hate Campaign': Prithviraj Sukumaran's Team Slams 'Fake' Reports Claiming He Shared Info About Lucifer 3 Amid Sarzameen Promotions

Actor Prithviraj Sukumaran's team issued an official statement recently to clarify that the he did not make any comments on Lucifer 3 (L3) during the promotions of Sarzameen. The statement comes after several regional media portals claimed that Prithviraj said during one of his interviews that L3 will be one of the most expensive films of Indian cinema.

On X, Prithviraj's team called out media portal for sharing fake news about the actor. They also stated that the false information originated from a fake social media account as part of a 'hate campaign'.

"We express our disappointment in major channels for spreading false news claiming that Prithviraj Sukumaran made statements about the L3 movie. These reports are entirely untrue. We urge all media outlets to refer to the official interview videos from the Sarzameen promotions for accurate information," the statement read.

"It appears this misinformation originated from a fake profile ID as part of a hate campaign. We request all channels to cross-check facts before reporting and to republish corrected news to clarify the truth to the public and Prithviraj’s well-wishers. We expect a professional approach in handling this matter. Thank you," it further read.

Reportedly, the portals claimed that Prithviraj stated that Lucifer 3 will be the most 'expensive' film in Indian cinema and will have 'underwater action'. The reports further mentioned that Prithviraj added that in addition to Rick Yune's Shenlong Shen, the film will feature more villains. He also refused to comment when asked whether superstar Mammootty will headline the third part.
