LSG spinner has been handed a one-match suspension and fined 50% of his match fees for violating the IPL Code of Conduct during Monday's match. The young bowler was found guilty of a Level 1 offence under Article 2.5 of the IPL’s Code his third such offence this season.
This latest breach has pushed Digvesh’s demerit point tally to five, triggering an automatic one-game suspension under IPL regulations. The 23-year-old had previously picked up one demerit point for a clash against Punjab Kings on April 1 and two more during a match against Mumbai Indians on April 4. Monday’s incident adds two additional points, resulting in the suspension. Singh will now miss LSG’s upcoming match against Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad

Meanwhile, SRH all-rounder Abhishek Sharma has also been penalized for his role in the on-field altercation. Sharma has been fined 25% of his match fees for a Level 1 offence under Article 2.6 his first such breach of the season. The 23-year-old has been handed one demerit point as a result.

The the third ball of the eighth over when Abhishek, who slammed an 18-ball fifty, went for another big shot but failed to get the distance and was caught by Shardul Thakur.
After taking the big wicket, Digvesh pulled out his notebook celebration once again as he said a few words, to which Abhishek got miffed and charged towards him. The umpries and LSG skipper Rishabh Pant tried to calm the situation.
The match ended with SRH comfortably chasing down 206 and eliminating LSG from playoff contention
