Aamir Khan-Rajkumar Hirani Vs Jr NTR-SS Rajamouli: Two Biopics On Dadasaheb Phalke In The Making – Deets Inside

Dadasaheb Phalke is known as the Father Of Indian Cinema as he is the maker of the first Indian movie, Raja Harishchandra, which was released in 1913. He later made many movies, and at the National Film Awards, there’s an award dedicated to his name, titled the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. A biopic on him would surely be very interesting, and now, not one, but two biopics on Dadasaheb are in the making. One will be directed by Rajkumar Hirani and will star Aamir Khan in the lead role. Meanwhile, the second one will be presented by SS Rajamouli and will star Jr NTR in the lead role.

There were reports that after 3 Idiots and PK, Hirani and Khan are going to team up again. On Thursday, the biopic on Dadasaheb Phalke was announced.

Jr NTR-SS Rajamouli Dadasaheb Phalke Biopic

Meanwhile, SS Rajamouli in 2023 had announced that he will be presenting a biopic on Dadasaheb Phalke titled Made In India which will be directed by Nitin Kakkar. Now, according to a report in Pinkvilla, the team of the film has approached Jr NTR for the movie, and he has loved the script. The actor has agreed to do the film, but the paperwork is yet to happen. 

When I first heard the narration, it moved me emotionally like nothing else.

Making a biopic is tough in itself, but conceiving one about the FATHER OF INDIAN CINEMA is even more challenging. Our boys are ready and up for it..:)

So, let’s wait and watch whether two biopics will be made on Dadasaheb Phalke or one of them will be shelved.

Meanwhile, Aamir is gearing up for the release of Sitaare Zameen Par which is slated to release on June 20, 2025. Talking about Jr NTR, the actor is all set to make his Bollywood debut with War 2 which also stars Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani in the lead roles.
