The newly formed BJP-led Haryana government on Friday announced free dialysis services for chronic kidney patients at all government hospitals in the state. The government will also extend this service to all state-run medical colleges, reported ANI.
Two-time Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini informed of the decision after taking charge as the new CM on Friday, according to the District Public Relations Officer of Haryana, reported the news agency.
The saffron party leader and his cabinet took their oaths as ministers on Thursday in a ceremony that saw party big whigs in attendance such as PM Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and President and Union Minister JP Nadda.
Saini is the 13th chief minister of the northern state and is the second OBC leader of the state government. Among his cabinet ministers are Ambala Cantt MLA Anil Vij, Krishan Lal Panwar, Rao Narbir Singh, Mahipal Dhanda, and Vipul Goel.
Panwar, representing Israna, and Singh, from Badshahpur, were among the key appointments in the newly formed government.
Two women also joined the cabinet as ministers: Tosham MLA Shruti Choudhary and Ateli MLA Arti Singh Rao. They were part of a larger group of ministers, which included Barwala MLA Ranbir Gangwa and Narwana MLA Krishan Kumar Bedi, who also took the oath.
