Devara OTT release soon. Check tentative date and when and where to watch Jr NTR's blockbuster

The wait is over! Jr NTR’s blockbuster ‘ Devara’ will soon be available on OTT. As per a report by 123 Telugu.com, the magnum opus will be making a grand debut on Netflix on November 8! The action extravaganza, which also stars Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan has surpassed Rs 360 crore at the worldwide box-office. On the home turf, the Koratala Siva directorial has earned Rs 276 crore so far.

‘Devara’
Helmed by the experienced Telugu director Koratala Siva, Devara marks Tollywood sensation JR NTR’s first solo venture in six years. It also serves as the debut of Janhvi Kapoor, daughter of the legendary Sridevi, into the Tollywood industry. Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan takes on the role of the film’s primary antagonist.

The storyline revolves around Devara, the head of Yerra Samudram, an alliance of four villages located atop a hill near Ratnagiri. Devara is compensated for raiding cargo ships on behalf of Muruga (portrayed by Murali Sharma), alongside Bhaira (played by Saif Ali Khan) and Narappa (Srikanth). However, when Devara discovers that the shipments contain weapons used against innocent people, he decides to put an end to the raids, which enrages Bhaira. In response, Bhaira, with Narappa’s help, devises a plan to bring about Devara's downfall.


The movie was first revealed in April 2021 with the working title NTR30, marking Rama Rao’s 30th appearance as a lead actor. The official name was later unveiled in May 2023. Towards the end of 2023, the decision was made to divide the project into two parts.

Filming for this installment began in April 2023 and concluded in August 2024. Production occurred across various locations, including Hyderabad, Shamshabad, Visakhapatnam, Goa, and Thailand. The film's soundtrack is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, with R. Rathnavelu overseeing cinematography and A. Sreekar Prasad managing the editing.
