BPSC Exam 2025: If you are going to appear for the 71st Combined (Preliminary) Competitive Examination of the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC), then this news is very important for you. This exam is going to be held on 13th September, and this time the commission has implemented many new and strict rules. It is important for you to know and follow these rules; otherwise, your hard work may go to waste.
Reach the exam center two and a half hours before
The commission has clearly said that you have to reach your center two and a half hours before the start of the examination. That is, entry into the examination center will start at 9:30 am. The most important thing is that no candidate will be allowed to enter the examination center after 11 am. Therefore, leave home with enough time so that you are not late due to traffic or any other problem. Once the exam starts, you will not be allowed to leave the center before the end of the exam.
Carrying these things is prohibited.
This time, BPSC has adopted a zero-tolerance policy regarding electronic items. This means that you cannot carry a mobile phone, calculator, Bluetooth device, smart watch, electronic pen, pager, or any other electronic gadget to the examination centre. If you are caught carrying any of these things or found doing any other kind of tampering, strict action will be taken against you. Not only will your candidature be cancelled, but you will also not be allowed to appear in any BPSC exam for the next five years.
There will be negative marking; fill in the answer carefully.
This is a big change. This time, your marks will be deducted for giving wrong answers. For every wrong answer, one-third (1/3) of your marks will be deducted. Therefore, avoid guessing the answers that you do not know properly. Be careful while filling in the answers on the OMR sheet. If you use a marker, whitener (fluid), blade, or eraser to change the answer, then it will also be considered a wrong method, and you will be punished for that too. Therefore, try to fill in the correct circle in one go.
Action will be taken against those who spread rumors.
The commission has also warned that candidates who are caught spreading false information or rumors about the exam can be excluded from the BPSC recruitment process for up to three years. Apart from this, if anyone is found using unfair means, legal action will also be taken against them under the 'Bihar Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024'.
Exam time and center
This exam will be held from 12 noon to 2 pm. A total of 912 examination centers have been set up in 37 districts across Bihar. This means that a lot of students will take this exam simultaneously.
