There is continuous progress in the field of technology in India. As an important initiative in this direction, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has signed an agreement with Saras AI Institute of America. Saras AI Institute is the first institution in the world that focuses only on AI education in a completely online manner and also gives degrees.
With this agreement, students of India will get the direct benefit of global level AI education. Under this agreement, all undergraduate students of IIT BHU will get an opportunity to learn AI, whether their subject is engineering, science, humanities or social sciences. AI will no longer be limited to computer science only.
The focus will be more on practicality than theory.
The purpose of this partnership is not only to study AI books, but to explain its use in the real world. The course has been designed in such a way that students can use AI tools and technology themselves and know how it can be helpful in different areas. This will make students more prepared for future jobs and startups.
AI Evaluator tool will make studies smart and effective
IIT BHU and Saras AI Institute will jointly develop a new tool named AI Evaluator. It will be an advanced AI system that will do real-time assessments of students' studies and performance. This will allow students to immediately know what they have learned and where they need improvement.
This tool will also make the process of feedback and grading easier for teachers. This step will make digital education even more effective.
New options for AI Minor, Associate Degree, and Certification
Through this agreement, students can now obtain Associate Degree and also do industry recognized certificate courses. These courses will be designed in such a way that students can do them along with their main studies.
Hackathons, workshops, and research opportunities too
AI is not just a subject, but an area of experimentation and innovation. Saras and IIT BHU will also jointly organize AI hackathons, workshops, guest lectures and research projects for students. This will give students an opportunity to learn from industry experts and put their ideas into practice. This will further strengthen the thinking and understanding of technology of the students.
Big campaigns like Digital India and Vikasit Bharat 2047 are going on in India. Through this agreement, those campaigns will get technology and academic strength. By providing AI knowledge and skills to every student, India will not only become self-reliant, but will also emerge as a technology leader at the global level.
