It’s been 20 whole years since Bell shot to fame in the mystery thriller series Veronica Mars - and fans are wondering what the rest of the cast is up to now.

Airing between 2004 and 2007, Rob Thomas’ cult teen noir series Veronica Mars is still beloved by viewers today, often hailed as being “ahead of its time”.

Sadly, the series was prematurely cancelled after just three seasons, with Bell and Thomas running a Kickstarter campaign for a movie to tie up loose ends after Warner Bros denied them funding.

Fans raised an astonishing $5.7 million to make the project happen and Veronica Mars the movie aired in 2014.

Then, in 2019, the cast reunited for a fourth season on Hulu, with fans finally getting the final chapter they had long hoped for.

Kristen Bell as Veronica Mars

Veronica Mars made Kristen Bell an overnight sensation, with the teenage private investigator becoming a beloved character in households all over the .

Bell also provided the voiceover for another iconic noughties teen show, Gossip Girl, between 2007 and 2012.

Her other roles have included Jeannie Van Der Hooven in Showtime’s House of Lies from 2012 to 2016 and Eleanor Shellstrop in NBC’s The Good Place between 2016 and 2020.

The actress’ filmography includes 2008’s Forgetting Sarah Marshall, 2016’s Bad Moms and the voice of Anna in Disney’s Frozen and Frozen II in 2013 and 2019.

Lately, Bell’s chemistry with Adam Brody, who played Seth Cohen in 2003 teen drama The O.C., has been a huge hit with viewers as they appear together in 2024’s Nobody Wants This.

Jason Dohring as Logan Echolls image

Jason Dohring’s breakout role as Veronica's love interest Logan Echolls launched many a teen crush, but before that he also appeared as Jason in the 1998 sci-fi action film Deep Impact.

Dohring later returned to shoot the Veronica Mars film and revival series in 2014 and 2019 respectively.

His other roles have included playing Chase Graves in 2017’s iZombie and Detective Will Kinney in 2015’s The Originals.

Enrico Colantoni played Veronica’s morally incorruptible dad Keith Mars and also returned for the show’s various reboots.

After Veronica Mars, Colantoni appeared in series including Flashpoint, Remedy and Person of Interest.

In more recent times, he starred as Vince Brambilla in CBS’s Allegiance and as Principal Grant Moretti in FX’s English Teacher.

Teddy Dunn as Duncan Kane image

Teddy Dunn, who played Veronica’s ex-boyfriend Duncan Kane on the show, was in 44 episodes before being written off in season 2.

The star scored minor roles in other shows, including Gilmore Girls, Grey’s Anatomy and CSI: NY.

He did not return for the Veronica Mars rivals, however, and took a total U-turn away from acting altogether.

In 2013, he graduated cum laude with a law doctorate from Boston College in 2013. According to his LinkedIn profile, he is now a trial attorney at the U.S. Department of Justice following a three-year stint as Assistant United States Attorney in the District of Columbia.

Amanda Seyfried as Lilly Kane image

Amanda Seyfried only appeared via flashbacks in the first season of Veronica Mars as her murdered best friend Lilly Kane.

That same year, her career really took off when she starred as Karen Smith in the cult film Mean Girls, which shot her to global stardom.

She later went on to establish herself as a talented musical theatre actress, starring as Sophie in 2008’s Mamma Mia! and as Cosette in 2012’s Les Miserables.

More recently, she appeared as Elizabeth Holmes in Apple TV’s 2022 series The Dropout, which won her critical acclaim.

Percy Daggs III as Wallace Fennel image

Percy Daggs III played Veronica’s best friend Wallace Fennel in the original series, the film and the 2019 reboot.

After his time on the show, Daggs appeared in the web series The New Adventures of Peter and Wendy, which premiered in 2014.

He also featured in an episode of iZombie and, more recently, starred as Terrance Lewis in Timothy Blackwood’s 2023 short film, Infraction.

Tina Majorino as Cindy 'Mac' Mackenzie image

Tina Majorino also played Veronica’s close friend Mac on the show, going on to return to Neptune alongside many of her other co-stars.

Aside from playing Mac, she is probably best known for portraying Deb in the cult film Napoleon Dynamite.

She has also starred in television shows including Big Love, Scorpion, Grey’s Anatomy and The Good Doctor.

Francis Capra as Eli 'Weevil' Navarro image

Francis Capra played biker gang leader Weevil in the series, who was also a friend of Veronica’s.

Aside from the revival film and series, which he returned for, Capra ha also appeared in Friday Night Lights, Sons of Anarchy, Bones and NCIS: Los Angeles.
