He.She.They to return to roots as inclusive parties supported by Becky Hill on the rise

Send Push

HE.SHE.THEY is continuing an impressive rise with its powerful message after previously being backed by huge stars such as Lana Del Rey and Becky Hill.

The house and techno events are known for commitment to diversity, inclusivity, and boundary-pushing creativity. Over the years, HE.SHE.THEY. has built a reputation across the globe as a safe space for everyone, regardless of gender, race, or sexuality, where people can be unapologetically themselves. And now it's set to return to its roots with a Newcastle appearance this weekend.

The person behind the concept, Steven Braines, has revealed how the movement is on a mission to promote diversity, inclusion, and equality in nightlife spaces. Beyond just throwing parties, the brand extends to a globally recognised record label and fashion line, with stage takeovers at iconic festivals like Glastonbury and Coachella, and residencies in legendary venues like Amnesia in Ibiza in recent years.

Explaining the event's importance, Braines said: "This event is more than just a rave. It’s a celebration of humanity."

The message follows the brand's ethos - As long as you're kind and tolerant, you're part of the family. Braines went on to explain his reasoning behind bringing the event "home" to Newcastle for an event at the NX on October 26. He said: "When I left the North East for London, venues here weren’t exactly known for taking inclusivity seriously. It felt like there was so much work to be done to create spaces that welcomed everyone, no matter who they were or how they identified.

"But coming back now, I’m incredibly proud to see how much things have changed. Newcastle has embraced inclusivity in nightlife, and it’s amazing to bring HE.SHE.THEY. home to a place that’s ready to celebrate that."

In a concluding message, Braines said: "I want you all to make me proud and have the best night ever, where everyone is welcome, no matter who you are."
