Emmerdale Tina Dingle's downfall 'sealed' as Mandy betrays family over Vinny lie

Send Push

's Tina Dingle could face a comeuppance as her plan against the Dingles escalated on Thursday.

She continued to blackmail cousin Mandy Dingle about something they had been hiding for more than 20 years. But as Mandy finally gave into her demands she betrayed her loved ones along with Tina, and the pair might face a downfall as a result.

Viewers found out this week that Tina was the biological mother of Mandy's son Vinny. Vinny knows that Mandy is not his biological mum but he and the others have no idea of his true parentage.

Mandy has been hiding the news about Tina for decades, and more was revealed about the set-up on Thursday night. Tina walked out on Vinny when he was three weeks old, leaving Paul Ashdale to raise him alone.

Mandy ended up helping Paul, while months later she got with Paul and they decided to raise Vinny together. Tina claimed Vinny was snatched away from her, but Mandy said Tina didn't want to know and even changed her number so she couldn't be found.

Tina told Mandy she was suffering from postnatal depression, but Mandy suggested she was lying. Tina then said she would tell Vinny that Mandy wouldn't let her see him and that she'd said Tina did not deserve to be a mother.

As Mandy denied this Tina admitted she was lying, but that Vinny would believe her story. So it's clear Tina will go to any lengths to get what she wants, that being her family's home.

Her father Zak Dingle died recently and now Tina wants to sell the house for the cash. But when she learned Zak had written a will and that the house had been left to her siblings Cain, Sam and Belle Dingle, Tina vowed revenge.

Tina is now blackmailing Mandy, telling her to get Zak's will for her so that the family can't prove the home has been left to the others. Tina wants to get her hands on the house for the money, and she's prepared to tell Vinny the truth about his parentage to get that.

Mandy sobbed as Tina told her she needed to get her the will, and at the end of episode she did locate it before letting Tina know. Mandy feared Vinny would never forgive her for lying to him for years about his mother's identity.

It seems though there is no winners in this plot, and both Tina and Mandy will face the consequences of their actions. If the truth comes out Mandy could lose Vinny, but also her entire family when they realise she betrayed them with the will.

But is Tina set for a comeuppance of her own? If her relatives realise her plans against them then she will be forced to leave. The Dingles do not take kindly to being betrayed, so will one or all of her relatives plot some sort of revenge her? It is soap land, so we're betting it's only a matter of time before Tina gets found out and has to suffer the consequences.
